West London Doula

Supporting you to have a positive pregnancy, birth and beyond.

As your doula, I am here to support and guide you every step of the way towards a positive birth experience.

About me

Welcome! I’m Hannah, a birth, postnatal doula and a mother. Born and raised in West London in the same hospital that I would give birth to my son three decades later. With the NHS under huge amounts of stress I was left to give birth alone. Very different to my mother’s experience of kind midwife’s, days in bed and support around the clock for those first crucial days. My experience though rare demonstrates so clearly the importance of taking control of your birth and pregnancy, its the reason I feel so driven to support families and advocating for women to have access to the care they deserve.

For the last 10 years my focus has been on teaching yoga and breath work. I specialise in nervous system regulation, helping treat people suffering with anxiety, mood regulation and insomnia providing them practices to bringing mind and body back into balance. This work translates beautifully into birth work, which alongside my training with developing doulas means I’m fully equipt to support you and your family on this new chapter in your lives.

When I’m not doulaing around, you can either find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, feeding family and friends or on the dance floor blowing of steam!

Bespoke care, Hypnobirthing, Breastfeeding support, Nutritious food and more

What does a doula actually do??

“If a Doula were a drug it would be unethical not to use it” - John kennel MD

Since there has been birth there have been doulas, we are mothers, sisters, aunts and midwifes. wisdom filtered through generations of women. Our roles may have evolved over time, but the fundamentals remain the same. We hold space, support families, encourage, protect, prepare, and care deeply about you.

We provide a much needed extra pillar of support and continuity of care thats so vital during pregnancy and birth. Studies have show having a doula present at birth reduces the risk of emergency caesarean and lead to fewer interventions. But doulas arent just for mums who choose an unmedicated birth, they can provide much needed care and support to anyone who wants it. The right doula won’t judge your decisions about pain relieve - or anything else.

Whether that’s helping you talk through your birth preference’s, serving you warm nutritious meals or navigating the maternity system minefield I’m here for you every step of the way.
